Egyptian Tortoise babies

Captive bred, about 4 months old, these guys are adorable. Adults are small--males not quite 4", females a little larger than 4-5". Not a beginner's tortoise, though.

I don't know much at all about tortoises, but I am just curious, why do you say that they aren't a tortoise for beginners? Do they have special needs or something?

@Sparks044 They're less tolerant of mistakes in diet and habitat, so it's better to have some knowledge and experience with tortoises before taking on a delicate rare species.
