The usage of the chain is more of using the force of circular motions, so the guy using nunchaku have to firstly avoid the range, and close in within a short time. As a chain is a flexible weapon with no fixed point like nunchaku, it is impossible to swing it back immediately to block a strike, so after evading a strike, the chain-user is defenseless. Why not try throwing your nunchaku at him, LOL
