  • i love the way Allegra Kent uses her hands when she talks :)

  • Two of my favorite dancers from NYCB :)

  • @amyselwyn I am a lesbian. Does that mean there is no place in ballet for me?

  • LOVE this. Thank you so much for posting. Villella remains one of my favorits and Allegra Kent is, as already noted, a living treasure. Plus, this is an incredible ballet.

  • Thank you for posting this. Edward Villella and Allegra Kent are living treasures to ballet. It's very rare that they are interviewed on their experiences in New York City Ballet. It's facinating to hear them talk about Bugaku.I've seen NYCB do it in recent years and it's a strange and beautiful ballet. But my sense is that their original version, just from the photos, must have been sensational. Take a look at the photo of them from the pas de deux at 4:30.

  • Eddie was great in it because he was an athlete before becoming a dancer and his movements were decisive and strong. Allegra was a dominant presence onstage. Her Sonnambula is historic, at least for me.

  • i love allegra kent so much she is so crazy and she is one of my favorite dancers of mr.b

  • fascinating!
