Oh yeah and he grew up speaking one of the Prignitz dialects of german. I asked one of my native German buddies about it and he said even speaking German he has his own accent compared to the rest of the band. A fun example he gave me is that when Richard used the word for and, he says "ont" not "und" or "unt" :)

No his pronunciation of english is not perfect. He has done very well in the past with words that don't contain the letter R hehe. But he was living in NY more than in Berlin at the time. His pronunciation, accent and choosing of words has actually declined recently but I can't fault him. He's been fully immersed in german again since they hit the road. That does affect it.

I can't say how long he has spoke english, but he does live in New York so he's probably had a lot of practice speaking it.
