Pokemon Snap - Charizard Picture 4480 Points

This is how you get a score over 4380 on Charizard in Pokemon Snap for Nintendo 64. The reason I am facing against the wall near the end is to move the vehicle further away from Charizard so that when you turn around and take the picture you will not be as close, therefore, you and can fit his entire body in the picture. In order to get 990 for size, it seems you need to get the picture nearly the moment the level concludes, so it can be a bit tricky. On this run I mashed A, but I actually recommend lining up the shot and taking one photo when Charizard has his wings extended, but isn't leaning back too much. 980 for size is very common, but 990 seems to be very tough, at least for me, since I haven't repeated it yet on N64.

As for the strategy, I try to knock Charmeleon into the lava pit, then stall a bit and hit Charizard with an apple to straighten him out so he is aimed a bit more towards the exit. Then I alternate C-left, C-right to slow down a bit more. Then I face the wall and listen for the sound you get when the exit is coming. Once I hear that I count to about 2-2.5 in my head and then manually turn right and hit Charizad with an apple when he is visible. Then just get ready to take the shot.

If you try this, I'm sure you will get at least a 960 or 970 size Charizard. It's really not hard once you try it. I wanted to make some more videos as well so you can reach 300,000 on your report score. You are very close, and you can gain a lot on a few pokemon (Growlithe and Pidgey immediately come to mind). Good luck and great job on your current improvements.
