Dr. J. Buzz Von Ornsteiner aka Dr. Buzz discusses with television host, Lisa Bloom the psychological factors on why a teenager would murder her own mother. Noura Jackson was found guilty of second-degree murder on February 21, 2009 for the 2005 stabbing death of her mother, Jennifer Jackson. Jennifer Jackson was stabbed more than 50 times in the early-morning hours of June 5, 2005, at her East Memphis home. Her bloody, nude body was found on the bedroom floor of the residence she shared with her daughter at 5001 New Haven just off Mendenhall. Noura Jackson, who found her mother when she arrived home at about 5 a.m., was arrested almost four months later and remained in jail since then, unable to post a $500,000 bond. The testimony, which lasted almost two weeks, pulled back the curtain on a culture of teenagers running through East Memphis, partying until all hours of the night, experimenting with drugs and alcohol.
The prosecution presented evidence about phone calls Noura Jackson made that morning, stops she made in the predawn hours, including to pick up medical supplies at Walgreens, and where else s he went before returning home.
The defense team contended that other than showing Noura Jackson as a bad person who argued with her mother over her own drug use, money she thought she deserved and not going to high school, but that does not make her guilty of murder!
Noura Jackson indicated that someone was breaking into her home when she came home. She ran next door to a neighbor to report her fears. The neighbor then came next door in his boxer shorts with a loaded gun. He found it strange that Noura ran a head of him suddenly now fearless. It was then that the teenager found her mother, stabbed multiple times. Later discovered was broken window and a open door leading from the garage to the kitchen. The jury found Noura Jackson guilty of second-degree murder in the 2005 stabbing death of her mother, Jennifer Jackson.

I don't know that Nora did this. I have doubt. Was the mother naked when found? I thought I read something that said the crime photos were of Jennifer naked. If this is true, totally makes no sense that Nora would take her clothes off, unless Jennifer had been showering.

If Noura actually did this, how could she have left absolutely no DNA, and no traces of blood in her fingernails? They found someone else's DNA and hair, but they didn't examine it. The police need to find out who is actually guilty instead of trying to end the case quickly.

@RoyalNavyBaby Agreed! I'm appalled by the ignorance of some people on that group..especially those who are convinced she is guilty but don't have any valid points.

@ascopes1 Yeah I did. I noticed that Angelica is pretty sure of herself. Hopefully more and more people join, and hopefully her case gets more and more publicity. Another trial needs to take place with a better defense attorney.

@RoyalNavyBaby did you end up joining that group on fb?

@RoyalNavyBaby I was definitely thinking the same thing! I'd love to know how she managed to get no blood in her nails, no blood in her car and no fingerprints anywhere...

@ascopes1 Just read over it some. Saw the friend that is telling everyone that she knew Noura so well. I think I'll have to join. It's not that I think Noura is COMPLETELY un-connected to this crime, it's just a matter of wanting better out of our justice system. I told my friend last night; "If Noura ever confesses to this crime while she's serving her prison term, I will be desperately wanting to know HOW she covered it up as well as she did."

@RoyalNavyBaby I agree! There's a facebook group called "People who think Noura Jackson is NOT Guilty". A former friend of hers keeps posting that she did it...she keeps saying that if we knew Noura we would understand...I think it's ridiculous...there's still no proof..character witnesses cannot replace evidence or lack there of. And your right, the housecat in the picture just made me laugh...what incompetence!
