Soliel moon frye aka Punky brewster ended up being a beautiful young lady she's married with 2 daughters and a husband she's like 34 to this day i never met her but iam a recording artist/actor/screenwriter for film tv etc so i keep up with that Hollywood bs it's my job they even made a Punky doll she got well paid .

@bowlofarthritus Because Punky was a hit with the younger audience and, like they'd do with ALF two seasons later, they wanted a cartoon to cash in on the younger audience's love of the show.
