Dream is a sentimental song about the hopes and aspirations of us all, and how with perseverance we can gain all that we have worked hard for.
It is sung from the perspective of someone who has worked hard all of their life and is now beginning to see the fruits of their labour.

The song is also a reference to new love and the feeling that their life will change forever through meeting this special person.

The song is a very positive ideal in the time of recessions that we can all get back on our feet with a little time, patience and hard work. But a reminder that nobody is going to give you anything for free.
