Each person is different, but here are my thoughts on why some emotionally unavailable people date. Also, I talk about some of the confusion with who an emotionally unavailable person is. Hint: they are not a married persons using you for sex on the side.

  • Oh, can I ever relate to what you're saying!! Right on!! My relationships never last more than a season or two! As a rule, when I'm ready to be single again, I start being difficult, cause a fight & leave the relationship. I used to think that I'm addicted to thrill of new relationships, but now, after listening to you, I've become aware, that I value my independence more than any relationship. Thanks!!

  • @beatakrejcova The first few months of the relationship are exciting to me, but I find I am always looking for a reason to get out. Also, I have a sold wall at a certain level of intimacy.

  • I have no relationships. Even the "friends" I have made on facebook. People who I thought were my new friends, not just people who talk to me. People who I thought liked me. I sensed a genuine friendship but I was wrong. IM EMOTIONALLY FUCKED. I need unconditional love. I need the chance to be human and the chance to ruin things. I need the chance to be who I am without fear of ridicule, persecution or abandonment.

I cant stand this. My psychiatrist wont prescribe me because I cant talk to him.

  • Wow you pretty much just described me! Although I still feel as though it's because they weren't the right "one". But I really do value my independence, maybe that is the real reason. I'm not sure what to do about that though, just not date?
