Oh, come on there... Haters gonna hate, so take it easy, Justin :) I really fancy You, I've been subscribed for a long time and I just love Your lessons, and even Your accent! ;) Keep rockin', man! Cheers from Poland!
PS. To everyone that don't like 'scientific' talk - if you don't want to hear it, just skip that part of the vid, it's that easy ;)

@PlebScrubber yes but these videos are here to make people into good guitarists, not just guitarists who copy meaningless patterns

@PlebScrubber theory is a very useful tool don't ignore it jeeez

I like very much that you're addin a little theory, Justin! Thanks for a great lesson! :-)

This lick kind reminds me of rockabilly stuff. I was wondering if there are any lessons on that @ justin's website.

@emmoiv I do believe that the theory involved here is complex & if one wants to learn theory, they need to start at step 1, which is long b4 you get this level. I really don't expect someone to teach theory A-Z, for free on you tube. Plenty of DVD courses out there. Justin has a lot of theory stuff for sale on his website also & it's not expensive.

No, tell us the theory side of things so that those of us who want to come up with our own riffs using these concepts can know how to approach the task.

@JustinSandercoe keep doing it the way you are, i love your lessons and your music. Bought it on itunes and bought the cd/dvd physical signed copy with the pick. great stuff

wow awesome sounding scale/licks. I cant wait to jam it out under some backing tracks. Your the man!

@rmarino4471 musical theory helps make it easier for you to understand what you're doing, I personally love how much it helps me when i improvise, and it's really nice to be able to know what to play when. It's a time saver especially when jamming. ask what your jamming partner's progression is, and you'll know what to do, instead of just staring at his guitar neck or waiting to get a note that sounds well. Because usually what sounds well is pretty much explained in music theory.

@JustinSandercoe keep up the good work, the theory makes it a perfect lesson.
love these licks! something i would like to see if it's not too much trouble is some context - you say that the lick sounds good over a7 so maybe you could drop an a7 loop and show us the lick + some variations (variations don't need explaining so might not be too much work).

@brandoh2099 good idea, will try and do that after lick 4 (the first 4 I filmed already and don't fancy re-making them!!).

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Justin is a champion, theres no denying that...
But he is way too heavy on the theory side of things...
By all means show us the cool lick, but dont tell us that its a C minor arpegio dimished over an A minor flat chord played in a C shape... just show us what finger goes where...

@PlebScrubber damned if I do, damned if I don't. Feel free to ignore it - I do say in the vid that you don't have to know that stuff, but there are lots of guitar nerds who like this stuff. Seems I can't please everyone...
