They KNEW Windsor Ontario MCdonald Douglas KNEW The Door was faulty and did not Work according to internal Memo Before the Plane was EVER BUILT!!!!!.... The 1972 Accident Proved this and the FAA. Had Orignally wanted an AWD but Rescinded..it and made a "Gentlemans Agreement INSTEAD.... Chuck Miller of NTSB Told the Paris Authorities About this..Capt Bryce Mc Cormick of AMERICAN Airlines Flew the Other DC10 in 1972....

It wasn't just DC10s. The exact same thing happened to a Boeing 747 with the same stupid door design in 1989, with 9 fatalities, by some miracle. So much for "lessons learned".

@celticlofts exactly. Once Chuck Miller told them they needed to recall all DC-10's to fix the cargo doors , the FAA committed a crime in changing recall to "recommendation".

How long it takes to teach a baggage handler to close the door properly? Silly mistakes are very costlier in aviation industry and nothing can be taken for granted.
If the baggage handler controls the aircraft then he should be the captain 3:44

I still believe that both the head of the FAA and McDonald Douglass should have been charged with manslaughter and gone to prison. They were responsible for the deaths of over 300 people and yet nothing was ever done to bring those bastards to justice.

Excellent upload - thanks. Black Box is a really superb series. The Turkish Airlines crash was an absolute tragedy.
