It's not the extraction that hurts, it's when you go home!

FUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRCCCKKKK THAAAAAAAAAT!!! After watching this...I'm not gonna bother getting my tooth extracted! I know it's painless but watching this just scared the shit out of me! Haha shouldn't have watched it!

I had to have a tooth removed about a year ago because it was not falling out properly.
My dentist first used stuff like origel and then gave me the shot. It didn't hurt at all. The only thing that hurt were the spots where he shot me with the needle. Other than that it was painless.

Dear doctor, im supposed to get braces.and I have to get 4 teeth extracted...am I seem to.have a phobia.what should I do?

Thank you Doctor Gordon, I will be having 4 tooth extractions in 2 days time. I hope I feel nothing and will be fine after the extraction.

For those that are worried.. the procedure really is painless... it may be a little uncomfortable in the way that you have to keep your jaw open, and you can hear and feel him poking around in your mouth, but its really nothing to worry about.
After the procedure i suffered no pain whatsoever either, maybe a little dull ache but thats all.. the only annoying things about having a tooth extraction is not being able to smoke, eat what you want (sometimes) and keeping the hole clean.

very scary..

I need to get my tooth pulled but Walmart doesn't offer dental for a part time employee so it would cost me $300 :(.

is she a sleep ??

to be fair though, i think having a tooth extracted is less of on ordeal than getting a filling; with a filling there's some grinding and drilling involved. I'd rather have a tooth pulled than a filling (although I do want to keep my teeth)
Dr. Gordon, I had my lower left wisdom tooth removed yesterday, and my lower lip and chin are still very much numb. I read that this was because the nerve is either damaged or was cut. I am 23 years old and the oral surgeon I went to said that the procedure was very simple. Is there anything I can do to speed up the healing process of the nerve? How long would you say my mouth will feel numb? Is there a possibility that this is permanent? Thank you in advance.

@IdioticGeek The numbness could be caused by the procedure or trauma from the injection. Give it a few days, then go back to the oral surgeon if you are still having problems.

Ya Doc, but you're very knowledgeable, nice, confident and seem like a real pro, but what about other dentists? I'd feel OK with you but I'm in LA and have to take my chances with dentist that dont look well equipped and dont appear to be half as competent. Still, I do feel better about having to see a dentist tomorrow for an extraction and a filling after having viewed this vid. Thanks

@fudgedogbannana Perhaps you should ask around to see who someone you know recommends, Also consider a root canal specialist (endodontist)
Best,
