Craters on the Moon's south pole may contain water ice that could be mined to support a lunar colony.

  • i thought water was needed to make ice..

i m not very into science stuff but astronomy amazes me a hell LOT!!

  • Oh god, shut the fuck up. Jesus christ, seriously. Thank god for the internet right? Or else crazy retards like you would have no place to spout nonsense. Seriously dude, the only thing people like you are good for is giving the writers at Cracked something to make fun of. I can't wait for lunar tourism, I will personally pay to fly you to the moon and watch your fucking head explode when you realize what a wasteful existance you have.

Okay I'm done. God damn, that was cathartic.

  • @DiEs3L123 They found water on the moon a while back. Not just a little bit either, a pretty decent amount

  • @SkyShaw Watch Moon Rising you will be very surprise!

  • The moon has been hit by meteors that yield far more destructive force for over 4 billion years and it's still there. Relax. The moon will be with us for a long time.

  • we do have enough explosive. we even have enough for earth to blow up

  • Even if we wanted, we wouldn't have enough explosives to blow up the moon. The explosion this impact generated will have no negative effect whatsoever: the moons mass and its orbit are still the same. Yet the benefits are great. Water has been discovered. And if you read more articles on that, you would understand why this is so important. Think for once.

  • The moon explodes because of bombs ... is you for real or was it just too much TV? Can a mosquito suck all of an elephants blood in one go?

  • WE HAVE BEEN THERE. Astronauts put a mirror on the moon and we're able to shine a laser out to it to get a reading of how far away it is from earth. If there wasn't a mirror placed there purposefully, then we wouldn't be able to measure the distance accurately. Therefore, this very object proves the missions to the moon were real. Yes you can claim the moon rocks are a hoax (and they're not), but the mirror is the only definitive proof we were there. END OF STORY.

  • I DO have a special anger towards fucktards who defame our national heroes and deny the achievements of this country. I ALSO take it a bit personally because my sister is NASA personnel and our families frequently get together. NONE of you idiots have a CLUE about NASA people. What if some shitwit claims YOUR family were all Nazis and then comes out with made up bullshit to try to prove it?

  • No, it has NOT been proven scientifically that we never went to the moon. In fact the exact OPPOSITE is true. Over 840 moon rocks brought back and studied by every credible institute on Earth and not ONE of them claim ANY of them are fraudulent. In fact no credible scientist out there is a moon hoaxer. We WILL see, and very soon. Look up Constellation Project.
