@sfsu05 Trust me, even enough clothing cant keep you alive in arctic cold. You will survive for like an hour, but then you must get inside to warm up and drink something warm. Also if you move to much in extreme cold, your lungs will freeze and you'll get really sick.

i lived all my life in Mekong delta and San Francisco where have tropical or mild weather.
I spent 1 winter in Xi'an, -10C and Korea, -15C it is still ok, nothing special
My Mongol friend from Ulan Bator, where this winter went down to -42C I saw on yahoo weather, told me just wear more and more
If you wear correctly, you keep your body heat, and -60C would not be your problem. I don't know about cars in such a cold weather those. Maybe you can ride dog sled better. Or else, have car redesigned
