ok i hate to bother you but i got one last question because my motor is almost the same as yours its a 496 eagle rotating assembly brodix 144 chamber heads solid roller 714./714. cam 1050 dominator , at how many degrees do you have your timing set ? and at many degrees do you suggest i have my timing set ? i just cranked up the motor for the first time last week and i dont know were to setup the timing at ?
-
@bb489 what do you mean that your dominator is built specifically built for your motor ? what does it have done to it ?
-
what size and brand roller rockers are you using ?

Plus my motor STILL makes 31 more horsepower than your Cammer, and doesn't have to wind to 7000+ rpm to do so, with 10-1 comp instead of the Cammers 12-13 to one, AND runs on pump gas! I've just shown you a Chevy that has done better!!. And if Chevy ever decided to make THEIR version of the Cammer, it would have wiped Fords ass all over the track! Just accept it. Now go bother someone else
Mine is 28 initial and 42 all in

It was built by ProSystems. It is a 3 circuit carb that they calibrated for the street. Jets were matched to my motor specs along with airbleeds. Basically we gave them all the motor specs and they built the carb to match it as best as they could. It was spot on in the dyno tests requiring no changes whatsoever. Runs like a 4150 on the street until I open 'er up:)

Yeah, the turndowns cause a lot more bass and deeper tones. I used to have them and mine was super deep sounding. i have a friend of mine who used to be a serious drag racer that drove my car and thought more than 700 hp too, but I just go by the dyno results. It sure does get up and do though!
