Was that a ddos?

@AughtonWiFi Its only has secure as your password. If you are on your wireless I can easily get a mac address that your router won't block.

but i want to change it to WEP so i can do ds WI-FI =(

more people to know they will change to wpa IDIOT!!!

Yeah saying people deserve it I suppose is a bit harsh coz most ISPs don't even mention to customers about the right sort of encryption to use on their supplied wifi APs. Hopefully manufacturers of wifi gear will start using WPA2 with high encryption as a default instead of WEP 128 bit. Maybe they need a show on TV teaching people better security but then Computer Technician's might be out of a job :(

I wouldn't bother with mac address filtering as it is pretty easy to spoof a mac address from what I've read on wifi security sites but 256bit WPA2 is secure enough on it's own!
No-one uses WEP anymore especially not 64 bit and if they do they deserve to get hacked!!!

Quite a few users use WEP over here in the UK. With time they will replace their AP's with something more up to date I am sure.
Internet Service Providers supply most APs to clients now, and I guess as they re-new their contracts the equipment will be changed for something more secure.
And I have to point out that I dont agree that anyone deserves to be hacked at all. Remember, not everyone is computer literate.
