  • Basic movements? I don't see the basic Ginga! What's up with that? I can't either see the musical group. I just see one guy playing the Berimbao. The opera music at the end does not go with the flow of Capoeira. If you can't find Capoeira music, at least put some Samba there.

  • 2) Ginga. Yes, it is the fundamental movement of Capoeira, and it is there, subtle, as we do in the Cambara Capoeira. It is our movements' background. Maybe you can think in something like the steel in the armed concrete, you know it is there and it runs, but you can't see it.

  • 3)Musical group. That video don't show a Roda de Capoeira. It shows only the four Cambara's teachers in a meeting, studying Capoeira. I didn't record sounds, but only the images of a couple playing. One of them, estagiario Thiago, that begins at our left side, doing only fundamental and basics movements.

  • 4)The opera at the end. Today I agree with you, it is not adequate to the thema, in spite of I like it very much. As I can play all the instruments in a roda - the basic - I really could have done a little simple berimbau session.

    Salve a Capoeira

  • Dear ChamoxNY, thank you for your smart observations, and about that, I tell you the following 4 paragraphs:

    1)I tried to show that it is possible to play using only fundamental and basics movements and do a verbal relate about the movements on the jogo de Capoeira. I think we need to learn how to do that on time. (unfortunately, my speech were very low on the video);
