It is of course a complete nonsense to say that Rommel knew nothing of the extermination of people at death camps. As part of military command he would have been regularly informed of resoure deployment and security issues in Germany and occupied territories. As a close confidante of Goebels he would have been privvy to highly classified intelligence on propaganda, much of it concerned with keeping secret mass murder, death camps and fial solution activities.

Look, I'll bite m toungue out of respect for the readers, but you'll here something from an expert historian from U of T. Rommel, like many germans, believed in Hitler's lies. He knew nothing about nazi attrocities (hitler said he'd remove the jews, he never said how) his military skills were great but hitler never gave hjim the materials to break to cairo. At this time rommel got to know the real hitler and nazism and thus joined the resistance, he was forced to commit suicide after july 20 44
'desert fox' (Erwin Rommel) was one of the biggest generals of all time.He is a real legend for germans and those who have some interest for war history. He defeated british army several times in north africa despite he had not enough ammunation and logistic support. He was so intelligent and brave general.RESPECT.

Regardless of your views on the Germans, Rommel was an entirely different man. Considered to be the last Knight in warfare. Would cut rations of his troops to feed and care for his prisoners. He is one of the few commanders (on either side) to never be under suspicion of war crimes, besides the plot AGAINST hitler. If more men in power were like rommel, maybe things would be a bit better.
