  • Bighyzer: sound like you are using a regular 'Frisbee' and not a disc designed for the game. hit a local sporting goods store and check out discs designed for the sport!

  • Actually he uses homemade discs, which are much better than anything you can buy.

  • If you explained what you did it would be helpful. I can see what you are doing but I clearly still can't get it down, and I need to! Haha... maybe a second video is in order?

  • Practice practice practice. The guy in this video plays a lot. A second video will come in spring 09.

  • I just recently DISCovered the game of disc golf. I love it... it is and addicting game but I am terrible at it. I can't get any distance on my drives. I am a girl therefore I throw like one... actually not true...there are many girls that throw farther than I do. Any tips for me to improve my game?

  • Don't try to throw it like a frisbee...throw it flat and straight and tighten the grip especially when releasing it so it pops out of your hand. And start out using a midrange disc...easier to learn proper technique with.

  • can u guys help me analyze my form if u go to my page its " brian couple of fun days in slow motion disc golf - help analyze form " that video appriciate all the input just trying to rip further so far my max is 350 feet average about 325-330 zone

  • I always laugh when people tell me they throw 400-500 feet, then when I play with them it's barely 300 feet. Let's be honest with ourselves people, only a small amount of pros can throw 500 feet, not every 10 people posting on these videos.

  • @trextoter

Oh man...I always get too high when I play. lol

  • @newwavemedia Homemade discs? i can see an inova stamp on one maybe two of them, the rest are probably all inova as well with the stamp removed a couple are dyed as well.

  • When does being ripped and black come into technique?

  • @newwavemedia how do you make your own?

  • @BIGboy2987 Getting too high can cost you both distance and accuracy. Try to throw almost level without getting too low.

Don't worry about putter vs. driver distance. A lot of people start out throwing both the same distance, and some advanced players can really fling a putter too.

  • does keeping it low have anything to do with distance?because i have a drive and a putter and they both go only about 30-40 yards max...and why do they go the same distance?

  • @pmcnutty I highly doubt he uses homemade discs. Firstly because injection molds are several thousand dollars each, plus the PDGA approval fee is $400 per mold. So to play in a a tournament with homemade discs would cost you at least (depending on how many molds) 10k, when you could just buy the same discs for around $200.
