Netroots Nation 2010: AFSCME's Gregory King

AFSCME Associate Director of Public Affairs Gregory King delivers a message of solidarity with attendees at the Netroots Nation conference in Las Vegas, and previewed a campaign to combat the lies and distortions of the right-wing noise machine that attacks government services and the work of public employees.

"AFSCME will not let the far right, Fox News and the Republican politicians who work for them set the terms of this debate. We know that their attacks on public employees are also an attack on a fundamental value that all progressives share: that government can play a positive role, both in the lives of our citizens and in the life of our nation. We are going to fight them. We are going to challenge them. And, with your help, we are going to prevail.
