  • @Ryche49 You're welcome! I'm glad the videos helped with your repair! Best of luck in your future repairs. Let us know if you ever need any help.

  • Hello,

@dubie11959 Glad the video was helpful. Just need to clarify which plastic pegs are you wondering about? The pegs on the dishwasher drawers or on the door balance kit?

  • Thank you for this clip. I did this fix over the weekend. It took longer pulling the dishwasher out and fixing the water line then doing the pulley / spring fix. I replaced both sides since I had it out. New springs were much tighter too. I recommend swapping everything out for new. Oh and about that water line, change those old copper to a flexible braided pipe with plenty of slack to pull your washer out.

  • @Greenstang511 Thanks so much for the input and I'm glad you found the video helpful!

  • Repair is in, and again, the film was very helpful. And to clarify, the *original* parts were poorly engineered, especially given that the keyhole peg sheered on one side and the rope broke from the plastic link on the other side. The new parts, while still plastic and rope, seem to have a better design than the original. For example, the keyhole peg has a metal screw and has a new shape that could take less load off the link. We'll see. Thanks again to Steve!

  • @FishbackFilms Great news! Glad you were able to tackle the repair on your own with a little bit of help from Steve. Thanks for clarifying which part (new or old) you were referring to, I'm happy to hear that the one we sent you seem to be holding on better than the originals. Bets of luck with any repairs in the future! If you ever need our help, we're here.

  • Thank you! This video was what I needed. Not to sound to stupid, but I couldn't figure out why there was only one screw with the new kit.. After watching, it took me about 10 mins to fix both sides. This is the third time this has broken over the last 5 years. Hopefully the new design will put less stress on the string portion(which sucks).

  • your video is great, it helped me tackle this problem but not more than 3 or 4 months have passed and both sides the plastic pegs have sheared off at the same time. Is there any way to drill thru the broken peg and secure it with a small nut and bolt with washers?

  • Great video! I was feeling hesitant to attempt my own fridge repair, but these videos certainly make it look easy. Thanks for sharing!

  • @FishbackFilms Hi there, sorry to hear you ran into troubles. Was it the original part that snapped or the replacement pieces? Have you managed to make the repair just yet? Let me know if I can help - your new replacement parts shouldn't be breaking free that easily.
