Brandon doing an improvision which means he made the notes up as he went through the song. Brandon was using the A Dorian scale. It has a big Carlos Santana vibe to it, mostly because his Marshall was on a little OverDrive and 7.5 Reverb was on, making his guitar sound like anything Santana would write.

And the backround music, he recorded that using an MP3 Player, so it's not great quality but it puts in that great feeling of the Spanish kind of World-Music feeling to his solo.

  • nice playing man, wicked awesome. great IMPROVISION. just a tip though, if you use a G# when the E chord is playing, you make a meldodic minor which sounds pretty cool over the secondary dominant E. also, if you flat the F# and make it natural during the E parts, you make a harmonic minor, which sounds kinda moorish, spanish feel. you shouldnt use it all the time but every once in a while, its a big santana trick.

  • Haha man I know a bit of guitar theory but I'm not that far in even though I've almost been playing for 4 years now haha. But I'm not to sure about the dominants and stuff...I gotta start studying on that stuff again and maybe then will I know what you're talking about.

    Thanks for the compliment though!

  • No, you can't play fast because you technically do it wrong - you make mistakes in articulation and play incorrect tones.

  • nice improve dude but next time avoid those epic fast notes. awsome

  • I'm only 13 but i can hear when you tab the strings you do not cover the strings you don't use and that makes an unpleasant sound try to cover the useless strings and i'm happy :)

  • good i like it
