'Call and Buy that Record on your way Home' proclaims the record cover. If only... This very well worn humble 'Eclipse' must have brought hours of pleasure to it's former owners. It certainly has to me over the years.

  • Love the Conneticut Collegians. I have a couple of their records on Eclipse. Many thanks for sharing these.

  • Both Sitting on a Backyard Fence and Honeymoon Hotel were used in Merrie Melodies cartoons of the same title. Actually Honeymoon Hotel was the first merrie melodies cartoon in COLOR! Theyre both made between 1933-1934, and they're quite charming but not as funny as the bugs bunny cartoons made 10 years later...

  • I love "Footlight Parade" with Ruby Keeler, James Cagney, and Joan Blondell. The songs are so catchy!

  • What a great "reverby" sound on this 78 of the tunes from one of my all time favourite films.I love "Sitting on a backyard fence" a scene were Ruby Keeler taps on a smiling face dressed as a cat!!!!

  • This "Honeymoon Hotel" theme comes from the 1933 Dick Powell film, great record!
