  • Amazing!

  • I remember the Airfetes as a child way back in the day. I still have a couple of the "Autograph" books all signed up by aircrews etc. If they restarted the shows I would have both my kids there to witness them in a heartbeat. Many thanks to the US services for providing many fond memories.

  • One of man's greatest creations!

  • I was underneath it when it did this. I think it was one of the most spectacular things I've ever seen. Everyone thought the jet was about to come apart. Thanks so much for filming and uploading it!

  • Thanks for posting this. I was working on the aircraft ramp when this happned. I saw it happen and I wasn't sure if there was a serious problem, I just knew that I had never seen it do that before. I had seen an F-111 do this sitting on the ground when I was standing only 20 feet away. Scared me spitless. I miss England.

  • Awesome footage i was there to, remember it well ........!!!!!

  • Fantastic footage. I've seen all the still pics of this event but not film...many thanks for sharing it. I was there for the event, it was SR71 64-17960, and this happened on the Saturday..the Sunday display was very restrained by comparison. That is some turn at low level, he is pulling G's, as can be seen by the chine vortices, which are well seen on the still photos of the upper surfaces of the a/c. Brilliant. What an aircraft.

  • Thanks for sharing this exceptionally rare footage! I believe I was at the airshow, but I was only 8 at the time and didn't understand quite how unique it all was. Miss the Airfetes greatly.
