That's what gets me of this movie:

it was directed by Wes Craven, who created Freddy Krueger, a slasher/monster that you CAN'T defeat by abiding by Randy's Rules.

Freddy, Craven's own creation, is the one slasher/monster that will kill you even if you follow Randy's Rules.

Why would Craven create a set of "rules" that don't apply to one of his own creations?

  • @AnnArborFamily

Again, you forgot "never split up".

For example, the teens in "The Blair Witch Project" took so long to kill because they never split up.

...exceptr TV Tropes has MILLIONS of Tropes that don't relate to horror movies, so it doesn't work.

In reality, TV Tropes started as a Buffy fansite, so it's more likely that Xander or Willow created it.

Acually, Rule 4 is "Never split up.".

The teens who always plit up in slasher movies always die. The ones who always stick together have a better chance of survival.

Hey, don't diss Wes Craven! He directed "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and produced NOES 3, he's OK in my book!

  • @TwilightxAssassin

There HAVE been blonde Final Girls: Alice in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series, Tina Shephard in the "Friday the 13th" series, Jennifer Anniston in the first "Leprechaun"...

  • foreshadowing!!!

  • You forgot to say avoid the blonds...

  • This is one of my favorite scenes because Halloween is one of the best films ever, and Scream is amazing as well. That said, I don't like the comment about the "too red" blood....Cause there's pretty much no blood in Halloween, and certainly not in the scene they're watching. If they were watching an Argento film, sure.....
