I finish off with Part, and talk about civ 4, this time with actual game play footage! Turns out 2, and 3 didn't have any recorded footage I can find. Enjoy!

  • Here's some tips for starting out on Civilization IV:

-Explore until you find a few other civilizations. Ask them what they think of each other and remember what they say. If one is weaker then the other, then later on ask someone else to declare war on them first, then join in.

-The first unit you should build is not a Warrior or barracks as the game suggests, but a settler. Build your second city close to your first, but not too far away. About six or seven plots away is good distance.

  • Actually, since I play as America, my key goal is to expand as fast as possible. Most of my first cities are pretty far apart, since I don't want their work spaces to overlap, but the key thing was always to get as many as fast as possible. After I cover most of the continent, I work on improvements, since my economy is so massive.

  • Nice Review man, Any good ideas for starting out!

  • starting out at what?

  • Civ1 and Civ2 are the ones I have played the most. I have the fourth, but haven't been able to find the time to give it a proper go. Back in the day I also really enjoyed Alpha Centauri. Basically Civ on an alien planet.

  • The advertisement on the Back of my Civ 3 manual was for Alpha Centauri. I always wondered what it was.

  • Revolutions sucked

  • @CCkeminliu959 Evony is a game which steals ideas from other games like Civilization and Age of Empires.

  • Evony is like this game since they also use resoucres only in the middle ages. Also they use troops and items and map.

  • The only Civ I ever played was II. Absolutely loved it in spite of the fact I never understood it.

After a while I actually read the manual and spent enough hours to completely fill my thrown room, get my advisers dressed like they lived in the present day AND become '.. the Mad'.

    I love Civ.

  • @64bitgamer good vid i am getting it today but civR is does not look as good as this its like a mini civ4 plus in civR i can just hav 1 city and i just wait till my tech(i seen civ4 tech tree it has so much more so civR is not quite as big) is up then i just conquer it works 4 me

  • NO GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE!!!!!!!

  • im lovin 1812 in the bkround

  • I think this guy could do a sweet David Letterman impersonation.

  • haha wow we are both the same..

  • Also i find that you should build you citys near water Becase.

-It gives you a helping hand in food.

-If your enemy does not own a water city you are at a safe spot.
