  • One of my top 5 movies! Duvall is a master at telling a story.

  • One of the best movies I've ever seen. Anybody know where I can find the scene where they were baptizing at the river?

  • Who is that actor playing the old Black evangelist? He seems familiar to me from somewhere, but I just can't place him.

I spent some time w/ the Assemblies of God people. I mean no disparagement to those people to say that Jesus would not allow me to continue my journey in w/ them. He showed me other things & I was bound in duty & faith to follow Him where He lead. Still, I learned many good things in my time w/ them.

  • Pentacostalism is the quintessence of American culture. It is the future of Protestantism. Most of the other earlier forms of the Protestant religion are already passing away. In this century, I think we will watch the Christian world be reduced to a contest between some form of Pentacostalism (whether it calls itself Charismatic or something else) & Catholicism.

  • Not my "favorite of all time" but certainly one of the best films I have ever seen to deal with Christian faith. I agree with a critic's (highly praiseworthy) review of the film who described it as a "vindication of belief without being a vindication of every believer."

  • yhank you lord!

  • lol sorry but that was funny.

    great movie!
