Karl Grossman's commentary on Curiosity, NASA's plutonium powered Mars Rover.
NASA plans to launch, in coming days, a Mars rover called Curiosity, that is fueled with 10.6 pounds of deadly plutonium.
Contact NASA at http://www.nasa.gov/centers/hq/about/contact_us.html or call NASA 202-358-0001 to voice opposition to the nuclear launch. Also call the White House at 202-456-1111 and tell President Obama that if space is to be explored it must done safely, not threatening us and future generations.
Opponents have created a Facebook page warning people not to visit Disney theme parks in Orlando during the November 25-to-December 15 launch window.
"Don't Do Disney brought to you by NASA," the Facebook page is titled. Other actions are planned.

Sometimes it's necessary to take risks to further mankind. There will always be tree huggers.

Mr. Grossman gets many things wrong in the interest of fear mongering. The entire EIS can be found here at science.nasa.gov/missions/msl/.
This is ridiculous propaganda.
