Very intriguing, but one thing came to my mind: if the water ape -theory is true, how come our nose has not developed to block incoming water?

@childofconvenant I mean 'mermaids' did not live without men, did they? This video is trying to find foundation for feminism in 'mermaids' theory. This is wrong. I truly believe in 'aquatic ape' theory and I find the explanation about 'mermaids' very plausible, but you cannot ad hoc value 'water people' society to be better than 'farming' one. There must have been something good about the farmers if they were superior to 'mermaids'? Maybe their society had advantages too?

something to think about, thanks for putting it up.

@VojvodinaNet what do u mean shared life with mermaids?
Hi Wyrmeli, the shape off our nose allows us to swim forward without getting water in it. Also, people do have small muscles in their noses that allows them to flare their nostrils or partly close them. These muscles are weak in today's humans as we don't use them. But had we had stayed in the water, and become more aquatic, we may have developed these muscles until we could have closed our nostrils in the water.
