I've always known the Moody Blues were a bellyflop effort at recreating the sounds of Ancient Egypt. Well, this is what they were aiming at. "Cafe Bohemian" is a phrase with cryptic Hieroglyphic alternate meaning.
One thing for certain: sometimes the "conventional" attempts at recreating the ancient music of the various lands might have the right notes, but are always played in a woeful slack-tempo that sounds like when a person learns how to play the guitar!
The Ancient Egyptians were in their age, essentially what peoples such as Pacific Islanders and Native Americans are to our age. THAT is the reason their artifacts change less over the time span archaeologists study -- and what's more, most of what "modern culture" recognizes as historical treasures, are what we recognize as "modern yet skilled native craftsmanship". That is to say: ancient people would buy Egyptian items much as a modern person might purchase a souvenir hand-made tiki in Hawaii.
People should try to be observant of the fact that NO age is "ancient" in a generic sense. That's why this rendition "doesn't sound old at first, but the mysticism shows through".
DavidOfPluribus, what you've written is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent description were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this page is now dumber for having read it. I award you no thumbs up, and may God have mercy on your soul.
