@rovibe As for the federal llaws....there is still alot of work to be done...FMLA in not 50 years old and the unions fought for it. Health care for more individuals, equal parity for womans wages to stop outsourcing.... As well as representation for all workers when it comes to discipline. The fight continues and in many places is being taken away (look at the states that want to repeal child labor laws). So stop being greedy and PAY the difference.

YES, union wages are higher...thats a good thing for the workers...the one who actually make this country RUN. Instead of a race to the bottom...we should be asking for higher wages and benefits and not settleing for less and less every year.

Do you not realize that union labor pys more than provate sector labor, and people like me in the private/non-union sector are stuck paying the difference? Call me back when you can explain how having less money in my pockets because of unions is somehow good for me. Besides, most of the things unions were first created to combat are now covered by federal laws. Child labor, work hours, safety concerns, etc. Unions are no longer needed.

@ajd1211 god bless you that you still have the union my employer after 40 years with the union did not recgonize the union i lost my pension,my benefits increase and i was forced to delete my family medical plans only. i kept them on for dental ,vision thank god my wife works and has insurance thru her employer.but some co-wokers had no choice some are single parents and pay $325.00 a pay check thats $650.00 a month.i want my union back.

So you sit and enjoy your 40 hour work week, your safety regulations at the workplace...your benefits....FMLA...OSHA...etc and remember something....UNIONS gave it to you.
