  • I remember this as well including the bit with Simon Mayo saying it was going to be No.1. Wish he was back on 5 Live but he's dressed like a right twat in this. Mu! Mu!

  • metro, saltcoats. 1991. that is all.

  • I remember this appearance on TOTP like it was yesterday - even to the point of Simon Mayo introducing it. The performance blew my mind - outstanding!

  • @discoverydavid Oh, I see what you mean now! Yes, fair comment!

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus ...and Moody Boys, Jamms, which were far better piss takes than this 'Ironic' social commentary. Anyone who lived through the 80s knew that the likes of Scot, Atkin and Waterman were assholes, so why emulate/copy them. I mean I understand the KLF's point in doing so, it was mocking SAW, record biz etc. But the KLF's irony was always going to be lost on the masses which is where it would have counted most, instead the sheep just ate it all up, as they have and always will do.

  • @discoverydavid This while a bit cheesy in terms of its "lyrics", the backing tune etc are brilliant, totally better than music we have now.

BTW, Jimmy Cauty (one half of The KLF) was involved with The Orb!

  • @robet76 Mike Smith apparently owns a helicopter company!

  • I know they were making a point about people being cunts...but they could have at least tried to do something halfway decent musically...the Orb and their chess performance was a much better finger to the establishment.
