  • Wonderful! And yes, the slower tempo - not necessarily as dynamic as the original - is delightful as it is more enunciated and expressive and gives one a bit more time to absorb each phrase, chord, and those beautiful harmonies.

  • I dont know why they sing this in Methodist Church but its good.

  • Altos ran away... luckily basses recovered the play's stability...

  • I think this speed is absolutely fine. Music doesn't have to be fixed. Our moods do vary, and moreover, the choir is fantastic, so everything is held together coherently. It's fantastic. Glory be to Jesus!

  • Great Job and Great Interpretation. Just a bit of polishing up, but I'm sure you all have done that by now. It must be awesome-sounding right now! :) This is a wonderful rendition.

  • But what happened at 2:39 - 2:41???

  • Sound doesn't "drag" with a live acoustic. Tempo does, and this one does pretty badly. That is the conductor's fault...

  • Yay we're doing this at Delta State for our Christmas Concert!

  • We sang this back in highschool way back in '86 with our local orchestra. I think alot of the sound dragging is also because the accoustics in this church...it gets lost with the sound bounce. Of course this is just the third movement..my favorite is the second.

  • I know this is a local church choir, I do understand that. But the latin pronunciation is horrendous in a few places. Gotta get rid of the English dipthongs, since they don't really exist in Ecclesiastical Latin. I was a music major for 4 years, never performed this piece (although it's a favorite of mine), but have sung several Latin Masses, and the text of this movement is pretty standard. Sound is not all together terrible, but it could be worlds better.
