  • Is there any way to stop the cameras exposure from going crazy?

  • @atharveyosity In the UK we have a 10% rule, whereas you can't be prosecuted for travelling 10% over the limit. There's no reason to be going that speed here, especially on the approach to a corner.

  • @Bigsharnm I don't know what the laws are like in the UK, but here in the US the law generally allows for exceeding the speed limit for the purpose of passing.

Of course, everything else about the pass would have been illegal. But the over-speed wouldn't have been.

All that said, at least in Redmond, WA I'm sure the police would have looked at the video and said it was all the biker's fault. They are clueless when it comes to knowing rules of the road when bikes are involved.

  • How about you get the fuck off the road you cock ass

  • @MelloVEL0 I don't think so... he saw him, because he moved to pass. Being further in the road would just force him to change lanes entirely. On that narrow road even riding to the left, if a driver doesn't see you he's likely going to hit or at least clip you anyway. That said, it puts you at risk of the dickhead making the lane change, realizing he can't make it, and moving back over INTO you rather than splitting. I guess you just have to choose a crappy solution to a crappy situation. :(

  • I'm betting that truck driver wasn't to impressed either.

  • @Bigsharnm In NZ the easiest way to be killed on a bike is to take pimary, I don't know what the stats are for the UK but a lot of New Zealanders do an OE (overseas experiance) working in the UK but driving on a shitty NZ licence with a shitty NZ attitude so be carefull doing that

  • @MelloVEL0 Personally I do, but for the mostpart I keep to the B roads (which this looks more like). If he saw me in the middle of the road I'd like to think that most drivers would slam on the anchors going at that stupid speed seeing a bike in the middle of the road, even if I get honked and screamed at for doing it.

  • @Bigsharnm Would you ride in primary on a 60mph road?(Which it looked like it might be) It becomes impossible because of the fast approach of vehicles. Overtakes at speed & in tight spots are scary. A dickhead is a dickhead, you moved over, I'm not sure what else you could have done, I'd like to know if there is something more realistically you could have done. Primary, you'd be dead. He might have spotted you last second, do you trust his driving for that?

  • Riding primary is one of the things I do when there's oncoming traffic to discourage stupid moves like this. It's a pity you never got the numberplate because looking at the video he was definitely speeding.
