Well you can use any video program which can remove a green screen or a blue screen. I found the footage of the explosion (so the dirt flying into the air) on a site, and the footage was on a blue screen. All I had to do was remove the blue screen with the program and put that footage on top of the other background video I had. If you need more info don't hesitate ;)
