This is a more reliable Stirling engine generator that I built. It has a graphite piston and a larger cooling tank, so it will run all day powering the radio. The displacer is steel wire wool. I haven't measure it properly yet, but I think that it's slightly more powerful than the first one I built. This one will just about run the radio on one candle, although it really struggles with the LED's using three candles. Pictures will be available soon on my site : http://sites.google.com/site/reukpower

  • what is the voltage output under and with no load?

  • @LZ2SM I don't have this any more (smashed the glass cylinder :( ) but if I remember correctly it was about 4V no load and down to 2.5V with the radio.

  • Cool, you can now survive the zombie invasion.

  • @oishifunk Yeah, roll on the zombie apocalypse :>

  • Can I buy one???

  • @TVsterwarsHarryPott Nope, sorry.

  • i've heard of steampunk, but damn...

  • OMg Epic Idea

You Could do this with paint cans and make a Big one and then make More Power OR you could get a heating pad and make it run its Self and take what Power that was Left over and power..uh idk but it would be EPIC

  • @specallez That sounds nice!I just completed a engine from your site coke can strilling but with displacer taken from the 1 hour version,I also took the diaphragm style from the 1 hour version, since there was no steel wool it's slow, but its working! Now it's time for improvement!Tanks for the how to!
