not quite.. He hits the octave then turns on a Univox Echo which is set to fast infinite repeats. He then turns the speed knob of the delay down also dropping the pitch of the repeated signal. Eddie used to mount the Univox in an empty bomb shell on standing on stage so he could easily perform the end of Eruption.

That was amazing but hey I don't want to sound like a dick and all but he doesn't use the bar at the ends of the sections when he "divebombs" I read in an article about how so many people over so many years would try and duplicate Eruption and it's impact on guitar playing and when first started out thats why he played with his back to the crowd-he doesnt use the tremolo he uses a phaser and a compressor and stomps the phaser all the way down to slow and it sustains that deep low sound.0 tremolo
