When I snuck in to see the MC5 at MSU in 69 Wayne K had the Strat, and I Knew Hendrix had the Strat so I traded my Wilshire with minihumbuckers to get a Strat. In those days you didn't many bands on TV especially good ones. I wasn't aware of what I had. I bought a worn 66 reissue recently and it really does rock although I'm way too old by now. Strats don't break easy, but Wilshires are more fragile. I really do like the minihumbucker over the regular humbucker.

Love your videos. Nice guitar, I have the same with mini humbuckers, but without tremotone and I'm in love with her. But unfortunately I'm not so skilled in playing as you. Did you notice that Wayne always used only neck mini humbucker? Of course pickups on his Wilshire are differ from modern NY pickups but nevertheless.
