  • I've been seeing various consultants for two years now as I've been suffering from chronic tiredness and Headaches. They managed to rules out most things, and it seems now to be between Chronic Sinusitis,CFS and Hypothyroidism. But there is a history of underactive thyroid in my family and my tsh was 4.5. Is it possible I could be suffering from Underactive Thyroid? And as I am a 17 year old student, the lethargy is quite detrimental.

  • It is very possible that you are suffering from low thyroid. Given your family history I would say that it is very likely.

  • i have hypothroidism and i really feel good, but i have to take medicine EVERYDAY to not feel tired. the only problem: sleeping way too much. i was born with it and i don't know what i'll do it with it

  • You most likely have Hashimoto's. The target of your therapy other than replacing the hormone should be the immune system.
