Did you upgrade the power supply as well? HP uses underpowered power supplies on their elite series. I believe you have/had a 350W ps but the 8800GT requires at least 500 watts.

the mainboard form factor is "micro" ATX and has ONLY ONE PCI SLOT and no space for good CPU fans and no space for BIG GPU's like GTX295 or even 9800GTX..but you can go with the 9800GT..in other words this rig is not upgradrable for extreme gaming!!

I have this rig..not bad but it does really suck at gaming! I have one with GeForce 9500GS and now it's broken!! still works but not stable..

lol, it was the computer but it isn't anymore. I had put in a extremely overclocked graphics card in but i ended up returning it because of the noise.

I have the same one,and was thinking of doing the same upgrade....but I don't play any games at all.....would it be worth it?

i would think so, maybe a new card tho since they are fairly cheap these days. Like a 9800 gt or something of that nature. I also got it to help with graphic design and auto cad, so overall it has paid itself off. The benefit of upgrading is if you need it in the future you have it.
