What you said is absolutely correct. And the main reason of dropping the bombs was to prevent the entering of the soviets in the war and to show American firepower, but most people dont realize the many factors that played into the dropping of the bombs. The notion that the US HAD to drop the bombs because Japan would not surrender, or to save lives is total BS. Japan WAS on the verge of surrender, but the soviet threat was too great to waste any more time.

If this film shows a tiny inkling of sympathy for the suffering of the Japanese people during or after the war, this film will most likely be banned in China and Korea since it goes against thier agenda of teaching hate towards Japan.

Ok other side: Did you know that the US blocked Japanese Economy by building a defense line? Or that they froze all of the money and send the diplomats home? This resulted in major difficulties for the Japanese and forced them to attack. So not only Japans fault.
