Hanging Day UFO Orb Poughkeepsie

Friday May 15, 2009 (3:15 pm est) - Hanging in the sky over South Town of Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 was a bright silvery-white dot.

I first noticed it at about 3:15 pm from Route 9 looking East toward Vassar Road as I was in the Southbound left turn lane 3 cars from the front.

I then parked in the Raymore & Flannigan Furniture store parking lot facing South and recorded through my Sun roof. It seemed to just hang there for atleast 5 minutes. It then began drifting in a Southerly direction.

My final moments are at my house where it was basically directly overhead and hanging, but then after about 5 minutes it began drifting below the treeline going towards the Dutchess County Airport.

I have no idea what its altitude was or when or how it got up there. Does anyone know what this is or seen this before?

It is possible that people at Dutchess County Airport may have witnessed this object too.

This clip was taken with a Panasonic MiniDV Palmcorder. It has a 30.5 -37 mm lens with 700x digital zoom.

i saw this today at my apartment w my friend but we could not catch it on tape because my camera couldent catch it otherwize i wouldve uploaded a vid of it .

@avoboy23 So glad you witnessed this too!! :-) Sorry to hear you about your camera malfunction.. wonder if you were being electronically jammed... what were the circumstances of your experience?

i suggest you get ur cam str8 cuz u may c more n a few mos !

I saw 3 white dots today in the sky... You dont think it could be a plane do you?

hi i got your responde and the camera couldnt catch it everything was fine but it couldnt see it it was not disapearing it just disapeared at the end we were looking for clouds shaped as animals and my friend told me he saw it and it was the same exact thing.
