The highly anticipated rains are here. The destruction caused by the rains has raised concerns on the levels of preparedness by both the government and people in the affected areas. Four people have died so far and thousands continue to languish as the floods take their toll. This despite numerous warnings from the weather department. Chris Wangombe reports.

  • voting off all our useless leaders and getting rid of the slums is the only workable stategy

  • what angers me a lot is that almost all of this water will end up right at the beginning of the cycle... in the ocean. It will not be harvested, or harnessed, in fact not only that, but it will leave destruction behind. As for Nairobi even the good neighborhoods have clogged or no drains. If the council is dysfunctional, privatize it too!

  • where to and with what money? Land is not free! Maybe for me and you that might be easy, but sometimes you have to look at things from the eyes of the people who are suffering.

  • What strategy?? Relocate yourself!!
