My Peke talks also, but his voice is not as low. He has a lot to say, but I don't understand him very well as he speaks with a Chinese accent.... LOL..... China did a great thing when they invented the Pekingnese

My beloved pekingese Precious used to talk all the time as well. She would say mom to my mom and a lot of other things that's really sounded like words...it is amazing! Our new pekingese China is a lot different than Precious, but just as smart she might start talking one day as well :)

I got a Pekingese puppy for Christmas of 2010. I have had a lot of dogs in my life, but this breed is way over the tope for personality, talking and generally making you laugh all day long. Great dogs and yes, they do talk!

My nd Peke,"Shina Cinnabar", who live 18 years of love after I rescued her, would actually say:
"MAMA"-I have it on tape. Was just playing around & one day she focused upon my mouth, as
I always called her 'MAMA's girl' Very soon she started saying "MAMA", & also in her last breath when she passed. - Penny
