Since I was a kid back in the 60's, I wanted to cook with Camp Ovens. I gave it a try after watching Johnny on TV some years back. Now I use them whenever I can!

I'll chime in on the cast iron/egg debate. Here goes....For eggs over easy, fried sunny side up; use a little oil or for butter a generous pat or two. For scramble eggs, cast iron or not you should cook them on low heat. Eggs are full of protein which when introduced to high heat becomes rubbery. It takes a little longer but cook scramble eggs on LOW heat with some oil or butter and when they are done they should release from cast iron pans easy and with little to no loss of egg stuck to frypan

@VonMilash if your skillets are "very nicely seasoned" then eggs would not stick to them. i can fry an egg over easy with a teaspoon of oil in my lodge. try using oil instead of butter, and try getting the oil hot before dropping the egg in...im just trying to give advice here bc it seems like you are having alot of problems frying eggs in your skillet and it should def not be the case.
Is it just me or did anyone else detect the hint of a very subtle accent?
