Oh my. Old Fritz is.... so attractive in this. xD When I read "I won't run away from you again" I knew it was Old Fritz because that's what he did right? He tried to run away once before with his best friend? I read that from Wikipedia. It looked sad because that was "supposedly" his lover. Hetalia gives me a lot more perspective in history than actual school does.
Where does this audio actually come from? What was it's original purpose?

@ArexFTW I agree im getting alot more out of this video than i did in history class. They should start showing this video in history classes when studing the 7 year war, it would be WAY more effective! ^_^

With that way every child on earth would be more exited about Hitory in school :O

ah., if histroy classes we're depicted like this., it wouldn't allow most of us to sleep on it.,

@Windmelodie Friedrich Wilhelm II was his nephew. Friedrich Wilhelm I was his father. He really is Friedrich II.

holy shit this is exactly what we are doing in class (memorizes video)

i really like the sound horizon´s song adaption and history is so much easier thanks to hetalia =)

you look at old fritz in this then on wiki. Tell me theres something wrong with this picture. I like this old fritz better.
this is very well made, though I have one small thing to say, wasn't old Fritz's real name not "Friedrich Wilhelm II"? (at least in here in Germany he is calle dlike that)

The names are really confusing......there are four historical figures mentioned in the video.
0:16 Frederick William (1620-1688) [Great Elector]
0:16 Frederick I (1657-1713) [King in Prussia]
0:33 Frederick William I (1688-1740) [Soldier King]
0:50 Frederick II (1712-1786) [King of Prussia/The Great/Old Fritz]
btw, Frederick William II is his successor

okay, that really is confusing....well, maybe that are their names in english, because in William is not a typical german/prussian name, Frederick William is called Friedrich Wilhelm in german.
I don't know, maybe its really just about the different languages..
Windmelodie 2 years ago
William is the English version of Wilhelm. Just like Ludwig becomes Louis in English.

There are equivalents of names in different languages, yes, but you don't change the name of a person when translating.
