The crab/lobster is not invisible. You have to wait till it jumps and then you can eat him when he's on the way down and before he lands. I think it doesn't matter what size your fish is either. Been a long time since I've played it. Nice video.

I love killing the shark in Shark! Shark! As a small fish, it takes 6 bites to one shark (once he leaves, you have to start over), and as the biggest fish, it takes 3 bites.
Not only does this give you a lot of points, but every time you kill the shark, you get an extra life.
I was playing this a couple days ago and I was up to like 22 lives.
Me and one of my roommates play this game occasionally. The other day we played it for over an hour.
