I was at the Seattle Kingdome on March 26, 2000 when I filmed the demolition. This is one of the saddest moments of my life, as when I was a High School freshman, I played several home games at the Kingdome in 1996. I wanted to show you this video as a thank you for hitting 80,000+ hits!
R.I.P. Seattle Kingdome (1976-2000)
Note: This is the 1st Sports Dome Stadium ever to be torn down, and very ironic that this building only lasted 24 years!

Great memories I saw Georgetown against houston back in the day Ewing Vs olajuwon.Monsters of rock in 88 And the last Seahawks and Mariners games ever played there.Even saw Jordan and the Bulls vs the Sonics and the Celtics.I do kind of miss the place although Safeco and Quest field are very nice but the kingdome was deafening and Seahawks games.

@RaptorCrapter It was also home of the Seahawks, the Sounders at one point and also the Supersonics also at another point!! It aint just about your damn Mariners! Just remember even when they went 116-46 during the 2001 season they fell on their faces at Qwest Field in the playoffs!

I didn't know you lived in Seattle. I was born and raised in Bellevue and have very fond memories of the King Dome. I went to the very last concert there as well (U2).

Yeah I lived there from July 1996 to June 1997, I attended my freshman year of HS at West Seattle High and played against Bellevue in football, I love that Bellevue became a major powerhouse and sent tears in my eyes when they slammed De La Salle to snap their 151 game winning streak to pieces!
