  • Which Cannon is this from the ship?

  • Thanks to Chris Southerly of the NC Underwater Archaeology Branch for digging up the answer. We raised cannon #24 (C24) around mid-day of the 26th of May 2005. The gun weighs 2750 pounds and is 9.15 ft long. Regards, Rick.

  • How sure are they that this is really Blackbeard's ship?

  • Cool. Thanks. By the way, do you know how I can get involved in a project like this? I'm really big into archeology, shipwrecks, and paleontology and it's kinda something I want to take up in College. Thanks for any help you can give.
