From the LP "JS Bach: Music for Guitar and Organ," issued on the heliodor label, serial number H/HS-25010. This recording of Bach's Chaconne in D minor (composed originally for solo violin) was previously released as MGM Records album E-3015, of the same title. Segovia recorded this performance in 1934.

  • It's a really nice piece!...good recording-you can hear every chord an note easily..am learning it(lots of fun)

  • Segovia's Hauser was made in 1937 and he used it from then. Before that he used a Manuel Ramirez which was built in 1912. If this recording was made in 1934, it was most probably a Manuel Ramirez. I have to say, I think in the context of the history of the guitar, this recording was nothing short of earth shattering!

  • At this point it more likely a Hauser.
